Tali Skipper is a 2nd year PhD candidate at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) under the supervision of Professor Deborah Marsh. She completed an industrial placement year at GSK and graduated from the University of Sheffield, England in 2022 with Class One Honours Master of Biological Science and the Alan Roper (Panlabs) Prize. Her PhD investigates precision medicine approaches for treating Ovarian Clear Cell Carcinoma (OCCC), to which mutations of the DNA-binding domain of the SWItch-Sucrose Non-Fermentable (SWI/SNF) chromatin remodelling complex, ARID1A, are frequent. Her research particularly focuses on discovering molecular targets which create a synthetic lethal phenotype in ARID1A mutant OCCC.
