Peter Todd

Peter K. Todd, MD, PhD, is the Chester and Anne Alecks Sackett Endowed Professor of Neurology and Associate Chair for Research in the department of Neurology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Todd completed his MD/PhD in neuroscience at the University of Wisconsin, his neurology residency at the University of Pennsylvania and fellowships in movement disorders and neurogenetics at Michigan. Dr. Todd’s lab studies the mechanisms by which nucleotide repeat expansions cause neurological disease with a goal of developing novel therapeutics for degenerative ataxias and related conditions. Dr. Todd Founded and directs that University of Michigan Program in Neurogenomic Medicine and serves as Clinical Director of the UM RNA therapeutics initiative. Clinically, he cares for patients with ataxia, Fragile X-associated conditions and related inherited neurological disorders.
